Miriam Berman is a graphic designer and the author and designer of Madison Square: The Park and Its Celebrated Landmarks. She has created and consulted on design projects for a number of New York City centennial and bicentennial celebrations including the Brooklyn Bridge, The St. James and Townsend Buildings, St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery, and the Flatiron Building. She lives in New York City.
